The focus of day one (October 1, 2021) of the 5th annual OER librarian workdays was on developing an OER toolkit to better support faculty on their OER journey.

The schedule was:

  • Introductions in breakout rooms
  • Information on Open Education Network from Tim Anderson (Educational Innovations, System Office)
  • Learning Circles from Karen Pikula (Central Lakes College/System Office)
  • Combatting Misconceptions & Myths
    • Facilitator: Keith Cich (Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College)
    • Panel: Randi Madisen (Century College), Kate Borowske (Southwest Minnesota State University), and Carrie Miller (Minnesota State University, Mankato)
  • Process for working with teaching faculty from Bridget Reistad (Lake Superior College)

The focus of day two (October 15, 2021) of the 5th annual OER librarian workdays was a showcase of OER projects, resources, and textbooks that have been developed, saving students money and allowing faculty to have more academic freedom.

The schedule was:
